Savour the Last Days of Summer: Simple Ways to Be Present (and Feel Good)
Savour the Last Days of Summer
Lately I’m hearing, “Where has the time gone?” If that’s you, consider this your nudge to slow down and soak up what’s left of summer.
Today’s the perfect “open” kind of day for light connection, gentle plans, and small moments that make you feel well..
1. Sunshine – mindfully.
A few mindful minutes outdoors can lift your mood and support your natural vitamin D levels.
Sit with a cuppa on the step, feel the warmth on your skin, and breathe slowly.
Notice how your body softens when you give it light and space.
Vitamin D is vital for many of the body’s processes that play a key part in maintaining good health and well-being like maintaining normal function of your immune system.
2. Get out of your head and into your body.
Kick your shoes off on grass or sand and notice the textures under your feet.
Wiggle your toes, feel the coolness or the graininess, and let your breath match your steps.
Presence starts with sensation
3. Your summer gratitude list (5 minutes)
What do you love most about summer?
Jot down five things.
Is there one you can still do this week – an evening walk, an ice cream in the park, or a last-minute picnic?
(I’ll always say yes to a little blackberry foraging…)
4.Catch a sunrise or a sunset
There’s a special kind of calm at the edges of the day.
If you can, pop outside to watch the colour change, even for two minutes. It resets your nervous system beautifully.
I love watching sunset by the sea.
5. Say yes to something local
From outdoor cinema and concerts to community fairs – summer is full of easy ways to be outside.
I’ll be at the Eco Fair on Bank Holiday Monday (25th August) with my award-winning aromatherapy skincare.

Come say hello, try textures and scents, and let me help you find a little something to relax, refresh or uplift.
Alongside creating products to nourish body, mind and soul, I spend my days helping clients feel present and calm. I hope this gives you a few ways to enjoy the season before we shift into autumn.

Tell me in the comments: what do you love most about summer and what’s one little thing you’ll do this week to savour it?
Best wishes & take care of you YOU!
Louisa
